How can one be more effective at a job?

MTU ALIMUULIZA PASTOR CHRIS,NA HILI LIKAWA JIBU LAKE

Answer: Well, there are several things that you can do, because irrespective of the job you do, God wants us to be effective in everything. You should become an effective person, not just at your job. If you are an effective person, you will be effective in everything. So, you’ll have to develop an effective personality and I want to give you just a few thoughts to do that.

1. Focus.Have a clear focus. Focus on anything that you need to do or that you want to do or that you should be doing. Focus! If it’s your job, if it’s your assignment, whatever it is, have a clear focus.

2. Understanding.Have a clear understanding of the subject matter: An understanding of your job, an understanding of your timing, an understanding of whatever it is that has to do with your expectations. What is your expectation about your job? What is it about your assignment? What is it about the expectations? Have a clear understanding. Do you understand the job? The job definition? The requirements? Do you understand it? Do you understand the requirements for this project? What do you understand? So, number one is to focus on it and number two is to understand it. That’s why I said understand it.

3. A clear determination. for real success [lasting success]You’ve got to be determined. You’ve got your focus, your understanding of

the subject and then the determination. I can imagine that you want to be successful and that’s why you’re asking, that’s why you want to know. So, determination!

4. Action (Corresponding Action).Take action! When you have
understood and you’re determined to make it work, do something about it. You can’t just lazy away and think it’s going to work. Take action! You see, those who win in life, in any field, are those who take action. Some people never take action; some people never do anything about it. They just talk; they grumble and never take action. Winners are people of action. So, action!

5. Be diligent.Be consistent; stick with it! Make it happen, stay on the job till it happens. Don’t make excuses. Refuse to accept excuses for failure—excuses to be less than your abilities—excuses to be less than being absolutely proficient. Be diligent! Be consistent!

These are all things that you will have to do. Then, there are the ones that God will put in for you and then with your faith, you can appropriate them:

1. The wisdom of God.God has already made that available in Christ Jesus, because he says unto us “Christ has been made unto us wisdom.” Now, appropriate that; confess it and act it. You say “Christ is my wisdom, therefore I am wise. I have the wisdom to do whatever I want to do. I have the wisdom to function at my best potentials. I have the wisdom of God working in me. So, the wisdom of God talks through me, the wisdom of God thinks through me, the wisdom of God leads me.” That becomes your confession and then it guides your mind in the direction of wisdom.

2. Learning to pray in the spirit. That means praying in tongues. Praying in tongues opens your spirit, activates your spirit. Therefore, it causes your spirit to pick up the signals of God and gives you accuracy in the things you do, and the more accurate you are, the more effective you are, the more results you get. There are people who are so inaccurate; something they should do in one day, they spend five days, they spend one month, and they just can’t seem to get it right. It’s because they’re inaccurate; they’re not functioning by the spirit of God. But, when you function by the spirit of God, praying in tongues, I said, will activate your spirit and make your spirit to pick up signals from the HolyGhost so easily that those things will be brought to your soul consciousness. So, when you act and when you talk, you tend to be accurate. It’ll give you greater accuracy in the things you do and I tell you, you’ll find that you’re so effective and you’ll become number one.
